height="100" alt="willow basket with handle"></a>Glade Nature Crafts has grown
from a family hobby into a family business. The forests surrounding their farm
nestled in the Coast Range of Oregon provide a perfect font of information and
materials to create hand-made baskets using local materials. In the past fifteen
years their property has become a basket-material garden with groves of cedar and
willow trees, patches of sweetgrass and cattails, trellises of ivy and clematis.</p>

<p align="justify"><a class="3" href="pages/jewelry.html"><img
src="images/necklaces/thumb/rose_06_thumb.jpg" align="left" height="100"
width="25" alt="rose petal bead necklace with amethyst"></a>Weaving baskets has
led to knitting Sterling silver wire for jewelry, making Etruscan chain and
weaving small Sterling silver baskets. Steve, being a rock-hound at heart, enjoys
selecting precious and semi-precious stones to include in necklaces, bracelets and
earrings. As the season for roses draws to a close, you can find the pair
diligently grinding rose petals, using the same method as the nuns in medieval
Europe, to mold fragrant rose petal beads for rosaries, necklaces and earrings.</p>

<p align="justify"><a class="3" href="pages/daffodils.html"><img
src="images/daffodils/thumb/daffodil029_thumb.jpg" align="right"
width="100" height="65" alt="white double daffodil"></a>In the early
spring, amidst the basketry materials, the green is broken by bright hues
of yellow and orange when the daffodils bloom. With over 40 different
varieties of daffodils, the number of different mixtures possible is
breathtaking.</p>
